To use or not to use hydrogen to heat cities?

Hydrogen is often presented as a quick fix to get rid of fossil fuels for heating and cooling in cities. But it is widely debated by experts and has some uncertainties and risks of lock-in effects. Lisa Fischer, Programme Leader at E3G and member of our advisory board, questions this statement. In a webinar organised in the framework of our project, she discussed with cities the role that hydrogen can play in the decarbonisation of cities.
